Remembering a time where I could be as high as I wanted to be,
places I could travel as my wings would take me as far as I can see
I can only look in flightless shame at where I lost the key to the clouds

now I just wonder aimlessly as what I once had was taken away from me

I can see the silhouette of her pass over with every graceful glide

I know she feels sorry for me, but I am still the same pony inside
This is something I can never change, it's become a part of my whole being
Longing for that dream that returns me to that time when my wings spread open wide


I want to fly with the pegasi
and be one with my own kind

I would soar up high
to clear the cloudy sky
