I fear nothing
with the sky up above me
and the dark ground below

there is magic in these trees
and lost wisdom

no longer able to see
through your sleeping eyes


Denial cannot save thee
from the blackness of the earth!
Green life now from open mouth

not the lies as told in life

You claim to be immortal now

sanctuary from reasoning
but you'll die like the rest of us!
the rest in the ground


I planted my thoughts
in this cold dark ground

I hear the whispering of trees
secret voice of the land below


Each time I try to catch the wind
every try it escapes from me
but this is my time my century

a mere moment in an eternity

I want to melt into the Earth

a return to the green heart
the black soil of her womb
and the silence of my tomb


you claim to be immortal now
sanctuary from reasoning

but you'll die like the rest of us
and rest in the ground


this Pagan ground

this Heathen ground


the leaves lie broken and brown
upon this dormant ground

this midnight wind
blows so cold and lonely


oh we'll all be there
beneath the old trees
in the warm breeze

without a care

there is truth in the soil

a mystical alchemy
an infinite dream
of which we shall all be


only a spark in time
separate from earth and sky

a pure and great freedom!
a cycle eternal
