Verse 1: I remember I started off as a teen//
Getting into trouble was cool, well so it seemed//
Everyone was thugging those wasn't did not exist//

The negative attention I didn't want to resist//





So I continued to persist and grow but didn't know//

That each and every action was slowing selling my soul//
But caught up in the fame my heart was becoming dark//
Forget being the Light, I'm holding on to a spark//

My Self-Destructive path is firmly where I would stand//
Because it's easier than to step up and be a Man//
I tried to justify behaviors and all the lies//

Not understanding it was a temporary disguise//
I've always heard the whisper telling me I should stop//
but then I heard the second telling me I should not//

It took a little while to understand who was who
But thankful in the end I understood it was YOU!

So I surrounded myself with people who looked the same//

I live my life accordingly to the scipture that's written//
Refusing to go back and be bound by sinful living//

Been giving opportunities gonna make the best of them//

Spent so much of my energy spitting in your face//
