Let's pretend poverty and poorness didn't exist,
Let's pretend everybody owned and drove a Lexus,
Pretend wars were non-existent then and so were taxes,

Pretend everybody could just happily coexist, there would be no terrorists,
People would all be filled with bliss and not a single person would think about slashing their wrist,
Pretend we could make the world a better place than it is,

Pretend that even at the start there's nothing amiss,
And God made the world all fine and perfect for us to live in,
We'd have so much that everyday we'd all just be giving,

It'd seem like paradise, well a little like heaven,
But that's irrelevant and that'll never happen,
So quit believing in perfection, no one's heading that direction, everybody needs correction,

Here's a detection of some imperfection, in each and every one of us/every one of us , giving selective affection,
Don't pretend, no more, I' m crying out for your appeal,
There are hordes of people out there who are dying for a meal,

And tons of millions more with no strength to even feel,
They'd be lucky if they even made it through a day, that's real
It's gon be a hard time getting the billions and billions and billions of people out of this deep %#@!,

Cos we never risked %#@!, we hope and we wished it,
Now it's time to act and to not pretend that
