The timber wolves howl

The Witch Doctor sleeps

Embark into darkness

And you'll find yourself lost
In a maze of the nature
Not so natural in cause


The princess' forsook this land
So now I need you to understand

This forest is not a place for ponies
So get out while you can

What was that? Something brushed against the back of your tail

Deep into the forest, brain goin' off of the rails
It's Mind over matter when your vision starts to bend
It's hard just to think straight when you're at wits end


What was that? A breath upon the back of your neck
Turn around, double-take a nervous double check

Friendship a rarity, you're into the forest too deep
Night's darkest creatures come to put you to sleep


So Is it the forest playing tricks on you, or your imagination?
A little of both, it'll feast on your trepidation
Glimpses from the corners of your eyes

Shadows play and frolic in the depths of your mind

Are those hoof-steps behind you, or the sound of your own?

The longer that you're in here, the more your fear will grow
Tendrils of darkness out of place on your brightly colored coat
All of your fear gets caught in your throat, and you choke

As the rain picks up, you're surrounded by the unknown
As your heartbeat quickens, your pace starts to slow
