My feet felt heavy, as heavy as my heart
I was lacking inspiration to even start
But then this evening, lying in my bed

I heard a whisper of hope ringing in my head

The thought is overwhelming

To think that things can change
And this voice that I was hearing was saying just that thing

I feel just like a child
seeing the sunshine

So excited to the day is starting
There's no more wasting time


I see there's so many things to do

still learning how to live
