I feel like an outcast watching this town and it's people follow their demise.
I can't find it in me to be $$#ociated with this desolate community.

We're the only focused kids living in this town,
who see a better purpose here than to swallow down
a bottle of beer or a prescription drug or to cough up

blackened lies from their blackened lungs.
This song is not about religion or even straight edge,
this song is simply about how much I've missed my friends, and

the way they used to be before they let partying govern their lives.
Bury yourself with that pretentious, absent-minded attitude.
I don't say this with an ignorant heart, but

two decades worth, and I'm permanently set apart.
