Grandma's hands once held me

When I was just a little girl,
I remember how her hands were young and strong

And she would chase us along to play
And get us ready for church on Sunday
And even taught us how to pray

As the years passed by, I remember
How her hands grew old and weak

Like some of our old keepsake antiques
Until God finally came within His reach
And gently led her home in peace


And to this day, when not much of anything else works for me,
I know that Grandma's hands still care for me

They served her well through all the years
