The election is in our county
It'll never be the same

It's for a Police & Crime Commissioner
Allow me to explain


It's a new job being created
One with lots of clout
It's important you all cast your vote

Make sure you don't miss out
So get this date in your diary
And on your calendar of course

Because the Police and Crime Commissioner
Will impact on the Lancashire police force

The Police & Crime Commissioner
Is important to you and me
But, I'll be honest that's a bit of a mouthful

So lets call them the PCC
Whoever is elected
They're going to have special powers

(What like Superman?) No! (Spiderman?) Be quiet or this'll take hours!
They'll say how the police spends its money
@@#!ers, these are the facts

They'll even say, how much we pay
To the police in yer council tax
It's a proper important job this

And I'm telling you this in rhyme
They'll even hold the Chief Constable to account
When it comes to reducing crime

To go out and make their choice

That way we're fighting crime together
