Lets reminisce of the childhood times
Back when we were young and committed no crimes
Spongebob and Catdog were always on our minds

Wake up and smell the early morning coffee grinds

Playing in the back yard

Back when throwing a football was hard
Knocking on your neighbors door asking if they wanted to come out and play
It seems like we almost did the same stuff everyday


Those were the more simpler times
Back before girls were always on our minds

We'd go inside and play some Pokemon on the game boy
Man that was my favorite toy


I miss being a kid man it was really fun
Go outside everyday and get some sun
If we got in trouble with the mean neighbor we'd just run

We didn't check our phones for texts cuz we never got none
Everyone was friends with everyone


Our parents would dress us for school
Back then no one was considered cool
That's childhood

Back then everything was good
We had no worries now its all in the past and it makes for great stories


After school we'd go home eat sandwiches and watch tv
Always be excited if we were going out to eat
It didn't happen often so it was a special treat


Back then we wore $30 pairs of shoes and barely cared what we looked like
If we had to go somewhere we rode a bike


We were all so young and never mean
Got so excited to jump in the car for ice cream


Go and visit santa at the mall
And practice for baseball in the fall

We didn't need phones cuz we had no one to call

Back then girls had cooties

And we were too young and scared for scary movies
Asked mom to make me strawberry banana smoothies


Ahh, those days were so good
Playing outside together, the whole neighborhood
We'd secretly like girls but didn't think we should

If we wanted to talk to them we could
Didn't need girlfriends cuz back then who would


Have so much fun swimming in the neighbors pool
Could do it forever cuz we had nothing to do


Weren't worried about school projects or homework
If you were good at school back then you were a "dork"
I remember a family vacation to New York

I have so many memories and I could talk about it forever
If you knew a good joke then you were clever


Playing wiffle ball in the back yard
Oh man I remember I used to hit it so hard
Dreaming that one day i'd be on a baseball card


I used to sit in my room and play PS2
After homework and dinner it seems like that'd what i'd always do

All those memories are so true
In elementary school it didn't matter if you were new
Everybody fit in back then


Back then no homework on the weekend so no need to worry about thats
Every sunday I would just relax and watch the pats

I've always had a great collection of hats
