Many a man who sought to be God
destroying the world on his way
but only one God ever thought to be man

He was born on Christmas day

Many a popper has reached for the stars

dreaming of wealth he would own
but the richest of all gave everything up
as a star led the way to His home


The world unaware that the baby was born
none seemed to care on that first Christmas morn.

The magi wore crowns as they carried their gifts

to the foot of an old manger bed
that cradled the king who would rule the whole world
with a crown of thorns on his head
