JOE K lyrics : "Don't Fu[n]k Up Our Beats 5"

It's been a long time coming and I'm finally here
rappers wake up and smell the coffee take a look in the mirror.
and try to contemplate the image you project on your peers.

It's ridiculous, the amount of chains and diamonds you wear.
While you still live at your moms, smoke pot, no permanent job
You got no car in the lot, no glock, investments or stocks.

Yet every song you writes about the money you got?
And there's no room for me in rap? Well i'ma clear out a spot.

We bob our heads to the same beats, but your lyrically clueless.
You heard your friends saying swagger, and jumped into the movement.
And used it, as an excuse to be a prick and dress stupid.

I guess I'll be the only one to stand alone and not do it.
and you girls screaming Yo! keep on making me nauseous,
Cause what your saying to guys is that You Open Legs Often.

But then get all offended when they pursue what your offering.
Maybe next time you'll think twice about the image you market.

A lot of artists chase the money and what seems to be lucrative.
And their fans always complain, but someone tell me whose stupid then.
The rapper up on stage screaming, grabbing his crotch?

Or the fans who used their money just to stand there and watch?
They gotcha in their little scheme, that you've been taught to adopt.
Most people cant see past the diamond studded, glasses they got

I see exactly who you are behind that sinister plot
A sickening, mimicking, gimmick of what hip-hop is not.

Yet you worship any ground that these performers have walked on.
And you sing and act all crazy when you hear their new song on.
Meanwhile they take your money and keep pumping out trash,

while you wait with open hands, to collect all the crap.
Until You stop and take a listen to a couple of tracks,
And realize that your favorite rapper doesn't write his own raps.

The revolution has begun now, and we're laying the trap
And all this mediocre music, will be forced to adapt.

Lets bring it back to its beginning, when it was living and breathing.
A feeling of expression, skill, and goals for achieving,
A better life than you have now, not whats seen on the t.v.

Rap has become a breeding ground for the selfish and greedy.
People focus on the wealth and lose control of themselves,
Not knowing what they've become inside their plague ridden shells.

A persons only option then, is to reflect on himself.
And see the true man in the glass, and slowly pull that man out.
Musicians can't be influential, if they never stand out.

Of that isolating box they built engraved in the clouds.
It's time to come back down to earth and stop being so proud.
Remove the giant diamond necklace, earrings, glasses and crown.

You look like such an idiot addressing a crowd
wearing painted on jeans with holes, and a shirt that's a gown.
I've found that I don't need a moniker, my names Joe K

You guys can keep your stupid, overused, rapper cliches.
