I guess I always knew the ship was sinking
suppose I got to tired of thinking

how to solve the endless puzzle that was us
I take a breath and you drive away
I knew this would happen someday

but it is so hard to say goodbye
I wish I wasn't always so shy

I wish you would just stay awhile
the further you climb the harder you fall
doesn't take long before you've nothing at all

selfless love is the key to unlocking peace
until love is shown there'll be no release
