Love is arguements and saying things that were never meant

Just to hirt the person you're supposed to be in love with
Bickering over little things, that didn't mean a thing in the beginning
But now you're letting it grow and blow out of proportion

Now you're having trouble remembering reasons for all the screaming
No one's letting uo enough to let the two of you diffuse it
But the situation ceases to have steam in, breathe in, suddenly laughing now you're saying

"Oh honey, why exactly were we fighting"
Kissing upon the lips and the face and you're thinking it's insane to have been so angry in the first place


I don't want to tell the truth
Let's bend the rules
It's not about me

No it's all about you

Wonderful, beautiful, awful torture and terrible

Incredible, detestable, neccessity
That's incredibly neccessary to be happy but horrible
Half of a couple is almost impossible

But it's part of the artful patchwork of people

Love is laughing and walking and joking in the spring
Giggling in hysterics at what your partner said because they said it
Catching a glimpse of your profile soaked in sunlight

Glittering images in your mind's eye of husband and wife type dreams and fantasies
But burying them deep because it is too early
Snapping out of your reverie, catch the end of a story

"what was that?"
Rewind momentarily
Now you're sitting and thinking about irrational irritations

Which are irrational to people who don't have to live with them
The feeling's gone, you're worried you might not be able to bring it back
And these are bittersweetheartattacks


We're not the generation who forgot how to love
We simply opted out of bothering
