ESSAY lyrics : "More to Life"

(Verse 1)

I'm not -- a hero,

I'm not -- the victor,
I'm not strong,
I'm as strong as my bearer's shoulders.

I'm not -- a soldier,
I fight -- inner wars,

I'm not a purple heart no,
These are self-inflicted scars.

I'm not -- a leader,
I am -- a persuader,
I take the truth and bend it,

I'm a lying innovator.

I take -- what I want,

I fight -- to survive,
I don't even know why,
Sometimes I'm still alive.

This world -- is a ball,
This life -- is a party,

So why do I,
Always feel like it leaves me empty?

(Chorus)

If this is all there is to life,

Why do you even fight?
Why don't you just give in,
And lay down?

There is so much more to life,
A cause worthy to fight,

For and there's a living,
God, lay down your crowns.

(Verse 2)

That's why -- I fight,

That's how -- I live,
There's not really,
Any other reason to give.

And give -- this life,

To fight -- and survive,
But to live is for Christ,
And so I will praise Him with my life.

Because -- I'm not,
A hero -- I'm just,

A messed up man,
Filled with envy, hate, and lust.

I'm not -- perfect,
I'm not -- worth it,
But God died for me,

Even someone so worthless.

That's why -- we fight,

That's why -- I'm right,
Life is more than that,
Boring circle of party life.

(Chorus Repeats)

(Bridge)

'Look up -- to the sky,

There is so much more,
There is so much more.' X4

(Chorus Repeats)
