They were walking down Emmaus road one day

Thinking about what the scriptures say
Then Jesus came along, and walked with them



But they didn't recognize that it was Him



As they communed, and walked along the way
Telling Him about what happened that day

Jesus, the prophet, mighty indeed

They took Him out, and hung Him on a tree

When they reached the village they called home
Jesus acted as though He would continue on

They said to Him, ''Don't leave! Come in, and stay.''

Jesus smiled at them and said, ''Ok.''



Jesus took the bread, and gave to them

Then, they recognized that it was HIM!
They stared at Him, and looked with great surprise


Then, Jesus vanished right before their eyes
