The sun is shining brightly,

Even on the nightly
Some call it exciting, while others call it frightening
Some just wanna get out of their car and go sight seeing,

This %#@! is hard to take in like a single bolt of lightning
Electrify your bones, electrify your heart, electrify everything you've been banging from the start
Look in the mirror, you know I'll tell you what I see

I see a boy turned to a man, oh wait that looks like me.

Growing up I had it good, growing up I had it all,

I had a family that adored me, and a love for basketball,
Things were going perfect, until the age of six,
When my parents had to go and throw divorce in the mix.

I didn't understand, at first I was too young,
Years later the reasons surfaced, and I was number one,
They couldn't pass the threshold, on how they wanted to raise me,

They knew I had potential, but man I was a baby.
Finding this out was shocking, I felt my heart dropping,
To know I was the reason of my parents' marriage stopping,

I always sit and wonder, how my life might be,
But I'm here with a purpose, cause there ain't nobody like me,
So I'm gonna keep on cheesin, keep a smile on my face,

It happened for a reason, I'll keep my pride and my faith,
I would never trade my life, or wish to live another's,
Or I never would have had the chance to meet my little brothers.
