We all need shelter
Being so vulnerable
Danger lurks everywhere

Paranoia seeks its prey

Life and death is just the same force

Confusion, unanswered questions
Tearing our sensible minds to pieces
For we are not allowed to ask


That great entity, keeper of the secrets
Has trapped and tied our flesh to earth

For we are not allowed to escape
Its senseless seeming battlefield


Time leaves its horror on us
Crippling body and soul
Worthless body, prison of bones and flesh

For we are not allowed to last

Being able to reach that far

Imagination will leave a scar
Just means one sad thing
We are punished for existing.
