Have you ever woken up to tell somebody your dream,
And after you explain it it's just the strangest thing,
You were talking through it real detailed scene by scene,

And then the person listening just falls back asleep,

Well they say dreams are your subconscious,

Trying to make itself known,
Well how do you explain a giant robot eating popcorn on his way home?


So I had an idea for an invention,
This thing would make a positive connection,
And it will defy convention,

A dream-linking machine that makes you both dream the same thing,

The FDA would have a fit,

And they'd never get over it,
Because a dream machine like this one takes away the ability to dream on your own,


Imagine the "I Have a Dream" speech,
Everyone would've fallen asleep,
Because they had all dreamed it too,

And no one would've gone home with anything to think about,

So I thought of another invention,

To stop anyone from making that invention,
I guess that you could call it a song,
I hope that you've been listening all along,

And if you've been inspired at all,
Please don't make that dream machine,
