My name is Donnie Sands and I hope that you love it,
And event hough i know that it's been a while,

Since i had to rap or even freestyle
But maybe i can take it back and make it something new,
Make it somethin' fresh, somethin' ya'll can dance to,

I'm trying to get ya'll movin' without the chop and screw,
And just a little history on me, i didn't always drive a drop top while drinking coffee,
Used to, you could find me at the store with food in my pockets, while other people were shopping,

From the times that we were homeless and living in a car,
To the times there was no food in the fridge and we were starving,
And i was still too young to get us through the hardship,

Growing as a kid taking food from the church,
Father wouldn't take responsibility from birth, taught myself how to be a man to walk on this earth.
So that's why I'm on the stage playing here tonight.

I'm hoping if i hustle hard enough i'll catch a flight, out to L.A.
I'm chasing the stardom, so we can live a better life.
