DEAD PRESIDENTS lyrics : "LKD"
Used to look up to the stars and say imagine me there/
Raise in a household that was fatefully rare/
Amazingly fair, never had the taste of despair/
In case I was scared, mum used to say embrace in Ilah/
Use to look out to a world that was maimed and impaired/
And say, "One day I could change it." Brave faced like a bear/
Call me naive, I think I was just waiting prepared!/
If Satan would dare, we used to crack smiles like zippers/
And laugh wild in pictures, facts filed in scriptures/
But alas, in earnest, nothing lasts forever/
That doesn't scratch the surface like cutting glass with feather/
Bustin' $$# with leather, my father wasn't the type/
Works away from home, so my mother struggles with Skype/
And "plug in the mic," everyday she's tough in the fight/
But her face glows almost like she's touching the light/
Clutched in the right, is a pen conveying my soul/
Obeying its role, ink flow portraying my goal/
The fable is told, got something no label could hold/
A warm heart, born smart to disable the cold/
The brave and the bold battle against the tides of time/
It's quite sublime, switch on the lights and shine!/
Search mental dark alleys to excite the mind/
Take a deep breath, exhale, and I write my rhymes/
