We entered the world
At more or less the same time
Schooled together

As children
And taught how to relate
To a world so hard

And so cold
We were the class of 1988
We would not do what we were told


They gave us a test
Called the ASVAB

(Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)
We laughed and laughed
We would not do what we were told

We should do
We went our own ways
