Across the lands and waters
Through woods and temples of rust
The Eye that sees all

Would no longer see anything

Hear the hammers upon our coffin nails

Hear the sound of an open void

Open your eyes and open the jaws

For what lies in your sight is only ruins
Lay the glorious sorrow upon us all
And like a serpent, devour this world and let everything fall


And the temples of rust will vanish
And the flesh of salvation rots

And the blood of gods run dry
And our light shuts down


And like awakening from a dream
Our blurry eyes would someday open again
Not in Hell and certainly not in Heaven

But where the worst of our kind are taken
And finally forgotten


Close the door behind
And darkness will enter
Light a candle for our memory

Yet the shadows won't fade away

"And so it was written

The fate of all men
Was to dwell in darkness
All holy men, women and children


And like a morning star
Their saviour would hang upon them all

Breathing no more through it's own leprosy
As would all men no longer breathe my light


Seek salvation no more, my sons
For your gates from your grave are eternally sealed"


And there will be darkness
And there will be night
And there will be blackness

There will be the death of light
