The River

I can feel you pulling down on me

like the currents of the river
though i cant tell you where it may lead
i can only hope it carries me far


you told me not to fight
but dreams so big there's no use

you were almost right
my dreams were always bigger than you


i know you'll swear
you still have faith in me
you'll be surprised

when this river leads into the sea

I throw every thought into the sea
just to see how far they sink
