It's raining again
Not a surprise as I know in my mind

But rain has become my friend

I could hear it all hit the ground last night

Listening as water drops made contact with cement
Softly splashing down outside
And over my head, I would hear it falling

I would sit and wait 'til there's no sound

Flip off the light switch and crawl into bed

Knowing I won't sleep
You fly through my mind like a plane overhead
Wishing you were next to me while I dream of you

I'll ask you to dance in this rain

As you twirl me around once again

When I hear that sound

When the skies clear up to the palest blue
