Day by day people are acting dumber

Not realizing that they are becoming bummers
Skipping class 'cause you're too cool for school

People worrying too much about their "swag"

Positive emotions rare like prizes

Superficiality, negativity, animosity
Been hearing some girls talking about that true love
Maybe caring, honesty, nope none of the above

Instead, those girls keep on going for the douchebags
That boy they had previously labeled as the one who nags
And guys are becoming low with inspiration

Listening to trivial artists with frivolous vindications
All they talk about is girls, fame, and money
And the make it seem really easy

With names like Young Weezy, it's elementary
They might be famous and rich, but they sound kind of sleazy
They make young adults get the wrong motivation,

Do the wrong actions led by stupid allegations
Like for example, we've got YOLO
How I feel about it? I think you already know so

little proliferation
In matters of education
Instead facing an inundation

Of verbal intimidation
Folks are getting skeptical
People lackadaisical

Humans becoming dismal
When problems are getting fiscal
Empathy seems to be dwindled

And the future seems abysmal
Uprisings and starvation are becoming redundant
And for some, they're Hunger Game contestants

Those Syrians and Haitians are not just screamers
No, they're broken down dreamers
You're probably thinking that it's too far to even have to care

Well take a look at where you live, what if it happened there?
Verdict is if this continues
The world is headed for the wrong venues

And then we'll see that it's too late
There'll be no more open gates


We got the burden of change
Stop going astray it's time to rearrange
Focus on the future so it doesn't get deranged

We will cause it pain if we stay the same.

Now before, I wasn't trying to be pessimistic

But if we don't act now, the results will be realistic
Yet we don't have to wait for things to break apart
If you weren't involved before, it's never too late to start

So how about you stop defying
And actually start really trying?
Because the future rests on our shoulders

And it isn't light, it feels more like boulders
But trust me, if we start today
We might just be the way

We might just be an example for the future generation
And they might just start their own positive instigation
