The voices inside are taking over
Telling me it's all too late
To turn around and face my story

My pencil is red from the blood that drips of my hands

They wrote and they wrote until
they made their stand
On what they believed

and what was conceived out of them
I found my own conviction
When I went up scripted

And then in a moment that came like a dream
I saw the way that things could be
I viewed the scenes that I had found missing


From the light of a white light
There stood you and me

You were so clear
Unlike the surroundings
As you said in a whisper Dear I'm so glad you found me

I sensed a founding of deepest regret
From those all around me


It shouldn't have been a sin in their eyes
For an unguarded friendship, I never gave them disguise
I was straight, and clean

I see they weren't the same way with me
No matter how hard I tried it seems
It's never enough for them


That led me to make a decision
I'm making it now

The voice of a siren is locked in my vision
I will not let them shut me down
To change my mind would take an incision

So cut it out of my life if you dare
I'll have you know, to break my stare
Merits a knife in the back of the throat

I've cast my vote
I know who I'm running with
I promise you tho I may not have the knowledge

To keep your world from falling apart
I'll do my best to lead you out of the dark


The voices inside are taking over
Telling me I'm in over my head
Yet I prefer your voice to my own

So I'll listen to your voice instead
