The other night I was layin' out,
T.V. right in front of my eyes.
Watchin' some adventure in outer space 1 ,

On the Starship Enterprise 2 .
Well, there was Captain Kirk 3 , Spock 4 and the gang,
Headin' for untimely demise.

The Klingons 5 was clingin', the Phasers 6 were zingin',
It looked like the end of the line.
Then the Captain said, "Well, we done it again,

We got our act 7 in a sling.
Everything we got, well, it don't seem to work,
That only leave one thing."


And they said, (("Beam me up, Scotty 8 ,

Well, right there I seen just how it hung.

Out there in outer space.
