Some nights,
I'm better with words than others.
I guess tonight makes me the poet,

That I've always strived to be.
It took a lot of self reflection,
And intervention,

To get me to this point.
I could sit here waiting,
Silently debating.

I could get to my feet,
And get myself going.


Are they listening?
Are you listening?


Some nights,
I feel like I could fall into the stars.
Let it take me away,

To a distant place,
Where my heart doesn't feel so lost.
Some nights,

I refuse to believe,
That gravity keeps a hold on me.
And before I die,

I want to take the nighttime sky,
And make it mine.


You know you're stuck at the bottom,
When you finally call it home.
It goes to show,

That all I know,
Get's thrown off to the side,
When this state of mind kicks in.

I can't help but feel like %#@! again.
There has to be a point of resuscitation;
A breaking point,

Or a single moment of clarity.
