MORNING PARADE Morning Parade lyrics

Morning Parade is the self-titled debut album by British band, Morning Parade, released on March 5, 2012. The album was recorded at the '13 Studios' owned by Damon Albarn, and produced together with longtime Blur collaborator Jason Cox.
Since the release of their limited edition single Under The Stars, Morning Parade's star has risen. Tipped by many as one of the top newcomers in 2011 and touring with The Kooks, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Wombats and selling out UK and Euro headline tours, Morning Parade decided to take the time to write their debut album instead of rushing out a product in the hype. So, has one of the UK's most exciting new talents delivered a long-lasting product that will be the beginning of a promising musical journey or will it be a one-off lonely morning parade?

Album opener Blue Winter gives a good impression of why there is a hype around Morning Parade; driving rhythms, atmospheric electro influenced rock anthem and beautiful lyrics are key for the tracks on this album. From the brilliant Carousel to the dreamy Running Down The Aisle, Morning Parade really created a stunning collection of heartfelt and beautiful tracks. Morning Parade's energetic rhythms come to a climax on Close To Your Heart before lo-fi Half Litre Bottle, gem Monday Morning and Speechless slow down the pace to build up towards the gorgeous album closer Born Alone.

Verdict: 4.5/5

Morning Parade were smart to take a step back not to fall into the hype-trap that surrounded them a year ago. The self-titled album with 11 beautiful tracks which can be described as the true cliché of an emotional rollercoaster. This album does not disappoint at any point with a few show-stopping tracks that are destined to become radio and indie-charts hits. A truly sensational debut album! Front Stage Music
