Close the Distance is different for the band - but it's not a "giant step in a different direction," as Lancaster explains. "Where we went is where the band naturally grew." "I hate to use the word mature or more grown-up," adds Lancaster, "because that usually insinuates a sophomore slump for some people. But it really is a more adult album for us."
