LOITUMA lyrics : "Leva's Polka"

The sound of a polka drifted from my neighbor's and set my feet a-tapping oh!
Leva's mother had her eye on her but Leva managed to fool her, you know.
'Cause who's mother saying no when we're dancing to and fro!

Leva was smiling, the fiddle it was wailing as people crowded round to wish her luck.
Everyone was hot but it didn't seem to bother the handsome young man, the dashing buck.

'Cause who's going to mind a sweat when he's dancing to and fro!

Leva's mother she shut herself away in her own quiet room to hum a hymn.

Leaving our hero to have a spot of fun in a neighbor's house when the lights are dim.
'Cause what does matter what the old folks say when you're busy dancing to and fro!

[Gibberish]

It was fun to be there although the music stopped and I even got to dance once.

The old lady started to argue when we were heading home.
And Leva started to sob so I told Leva "Well what does it matter
We were going to dance to and fro someday again".

[Gibberish]

I told the old lady to shut her mouth.
Otherwise, I wasn't going to promise anything about her health.
She'll stay healthy if she $#&@ed off.

And she went lay in the dump of hers.
And the boy won't mind if someone shows affection towards him
when old lady are sweating to and fro.

[Gibberish]

One thing I tell you is that have to do your best
you can't trap me just like that.
You can travel east top west if you want to.

But I'm not going to give Leva.

Because this guy doesn't care about being

bashful when your dancing to and fro.
