CHRIS CAGLE Biography
Christopher Norris Cagle was born November 10, 1968 in DeRidder, Louisiana. His father was an Exxon supervisor. Chris only lived in Louisiana for a short time. His family relocated to Houston Texas, when he was only four. Chris attended Robert E Lee High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington for only a short time. He dropped out of college and moved to Nashville in 1984 to pursue his dream. Chris worked several odd and end jobs, from waiting tables and tending bars to being a golf caddy, before finally getting the recording contract that he had always dreamed of. This contract was with Virgin Records Nashville. His first album was Play It Loud Chris’ first single was “My Love Goes On And On” was a chart hit.
Virgin closed their country division and Chris was absorbed onto the Capitol Nashville roster. This is the home of likes such as Garth Brooks. Capitol re-released his 2001 debut album, Play It Loud . This time around it had two new songs. One was the future number 1 hit "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out."
Chris married Elizabeth Filer in 2001, but they got a divorce in 2003. In October of 2005 Chris he announced that he was not the biological father of the baby his then-girlfriend had. Chris asked for privacy regarding this very sensitive matter. When Chris is not touring, making music, or posing for Playboy (As he did in 2006), he enjoys spending time on his 3 acre ranch in Pegram, Tennessee.
