BAD MEETS EVIL Biography
Bad Meets Evil is a 2-piece rap collaboration consisting of Detroit emcees Royce da 5’9” (“Bad”) and Eminem (“Evil”). Bad Meets Evil preleased a small number of tracks such as “Scary Movies”, “Nuttin’ to Do” and “Bad Meets Evil”, with the lattermost track featuring on Eminem’s album The Slim Shady LP. The track starts out with an old man telling a story of Bad and Evil ruling the town, and how the sherrifs couldn’t stop them. It proceeds to go into song, and afterwards the elderly cowboy is back, saying that “On the quiet nights, you can still hear the footsteps of Slim Shady and Royce Da 5’9”. The song is considered by many to be the best track that these two artists have made together.

They have also recorded numerous freestyles together, including a 12-minute long battle. Footage of a Bad Meets Evil concert filmed in 1998 in a club in Detroit has also been leaked onto the internet.
The group was short-lived however, with an altercation occurring between Royce Da 5’9”, and Eminem’s clique; D12, prompting Eminem and Royce to cut off any connections.
The group then stopped working together. Royce Da 5’9” released some tracks dissing D12 and Eminem. D12 (minus Eminem) have released tracks dissing Royce Da 5’9” and his M.I.C. Records Camp.
According to the Fast Lane Songfacts, sadness over the tragic shooting death of their mutual friend Proof in 2006 led to mended fences and Royce was featured on D12 ‘s 2008 mixtape D12 and later went on tour with the group. The two Detroit rappers also recorded an EP together, and Fast Lane was the first official single from the set.
