A comedic trio best know for their series of "digital shorts" aired on Saturday Night Live, the Lonely Island features three of the show's writers, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone. Samberg, who would also end up an SNL cast member, originally met Schaffer and Taccone in Berkeley, CA while attending junior high school.
