CRAIG MORGAN This Ole Boy lyrics

This Ole Boy is the sixth studio album by American country music singer Craig Morgan. It was released on Black River Music Group on February 28, 2012. The first single from the album is its title track, written by Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip, also known as the Peach Pickers. The song was previously recorded by Joe Nichols on his 2011 album It's All Good.
After releasing one album with BNA Nashville, Craig Morgan partnered with Black River Entertainment to release new material and started with the release of ?This Ole Boy,? a Peach Pickers tune that certainly suited Morgan's style. It's a song that has made its way inside the Top 25 at country radio giving Morgan his latest hit and his label's first Top 40 hit after years of trying to break into the charts with other artists (not unlike fellow Sony Nashville refugees Montgomery Gentry's similar success with Average Joes Entertainment).

Craig Morgan has been a strong artist for years, delivering music that is true to his life and lifestyle and that's exactly what he delivers with This Ole Boy. Once again working with ?Philbilly,? Phil O'Donnell as his co-producer, Craig's 13 song album features songs like the effervescent ?More Trucks Than Cars,? a song that's co-written by Craig, Phil and hit writer Craig Wiseman. The song finds Craig singing about the strong pull of his hometown of Dickson, Tennessee and how the southern charm of home is what appeals to him the most.

Craig Morgan is, for my money, one of the best pure country balladeers of the past 20 years and he showcases this on the mid-tempo ballad ?Whole World Needs A Kitchen,? ?Country Boys Like Me,? and the stunner ?I Didn't Drink,? a tear in your beer ballad about a man who never drank a drop of alcohol until he is given good reason to do so through the loss of the love of his life. Another strong ballad is ?Love Loves A Long Night? and it certainly is a little steamy tune.

With a mixture of strong tempo songs we've grown to love from Craig Morgan (?Corn Star,? ?Fish Weren't Bitin',? the title trakc and ?Show Me Your Tattoo,?) and potential hit ballads like ?Love Loves A Long Night,? ?Country Boys Like Me,? and ?Whole World Needs A Kitchen,? Craig Morgan has certainly returned with a strong album worthy of becoming a collection of big hits. by Matt Bjorke, Roughstock
